Tu Hoa Street in the fall

Acrylic on canvas (80x80cm)

The street was named after the princess of King Ly Than Tong (1116–1138), who left the royal palace to live in this area and to teach mulberry cultivation, and silk weaving to the locals, making the it a famous craft village in the old Hanoi. Tu Hoa Street is famous not only for its many historical and cultural works but also for its outlook of modern life. Old, traditional architectures closely interlay with cafes, restaurants, and hotels. In the fall, sparkling from the water make the area more charming and brilliant. If you want to 'feel' Hanoi, just sit in a cafe on Tu Hoa Street in late afternoon to see the sun go down to the water of Westlake.
